Bragging Rites!

Rose and her Briard Emy are currently doing Search and Rescue training doing trailing and are coming along nicely.  For those of you not familiar with Briards they are intelligent dogs but are a little slow to mature mentally, so it can be challenging until they are about 18 months old, so we still have a few months to go.  But Emy is doing good and I have to admit that Rose is doing a pretty good job of keeping up with her on the days that everything just seems to click (haha).  Great job you two.                                                                                                                Now its my turn, I am currently in training with one of my Aussies, Delilah we are doing air scent and Delialh seems to have found her niche in life.  Don't get me wrong, she is a pretty good farm and herding dog and enjoys it, but since we have started Search and Rescue training she is a different dog.  She has always been on the hyper side, but you would not know it now, she has calmed down and can totally focus on the task at hand.  She has quit running the fence when she is in the kennel or turn out area, and she can actually relax, which she has never really done.  I am really proud of her and since she is by Dwight and out of Jodie, you know she is very dear to my heart.                 Needless to say life on the farm is Good (doubly so now that is has rained).

Herding

Just wanted to inform anyone that might be interested, that we are currently preparing a herding training arena, round pen and sorting and treatment pens where people can bring their dogs here to get them started in herding or take lessons or for those that already do some herding and would like to work their dogs at another farm to get ready for trialing.  So if you have a herding breed, just give us a call or email for info.

Congratulations!
First I want to Congratulate Bo and Julie Taylor on their purchase of 2 wonderful Kelpie puppies, Kyle a black and tan male and Sissy a black and tan female.  These 2 will deffinitely have a great home where they can work and play, giving them a good balance in their lives.  Good Luck to you and the pups!  Keep in touch and give them a big hug for me!  Go to Lynn's critters page for some pictures of these 2 lovely pups!
