Fall planting

It has been a busy summer.  We have had some more trees cleared to put in more pasture.  Now we are doing the cleanup, always fun hehe.  Lots of cutting and delimbing the downed trees and then pileing up and getting it ready to burn come Oct.  Fortunately we have a friend that has a commercial grade chipper and he has brought it over a few times and hopefully we will be able to do some more chipping soon.  Just that much less that we will have to burn.                                                        Now it's time to start seeding again.  We will be adding asome more Max Q fescue to fill in the areas that are thin or died in the drought.  Plus we will be planting either red clover or ball clover in the newly cleared area and then in the early spring we will  be planting Serecea Lespedeza back there as well.  I have been doing a lot of research on planting for year round grazing and we are slowly getting there.   I am currently breeding 1 of my Australian Shepherds so if anyone is interested in a good working bred Aussie out of working parents please feel free to contact me.  There will only be a few available as some are already spoken for with deposits.  There is a possiblity that some of these might go into Search and Rescue training as well.  I will let you know what is avaiable after the pups are born.  I do not breed very often, so if you are considering one you need to let me know, don't assume that you can get one out of the next litter, because it may be a while before I breed again.                           We still have 2 rams available for sale if anyone is interested.  Well chores are a waiting so off to work I go.  Have a Great Day!
