This was our very first trail ever.  Rio got his Level 1 at this trail!!!!!!!  It was fun and we had a great time!

This was our first trial, but efinitely not our last!  Our next trial is Nov. 29, 30.  Can't wait!                                                         Well November has come and gone and so has our second trial!  Rio has done it again!  Our second trial and our second title!!!!!!  WooHooo!  Yea  Rio!!!!      I have also started Rio on ducks and today he was in the pen with cattle for the first time.  He did very well.   Not only that but Rio has stepped up to the plate and is helping to fill the void that Dwight left behind.  He is proving to be very gentle with the babies, which is a big help.  Dwight could handle the toughest ram or buck, but would never touch a baby except to gently nudge with his nose, but only if asked to do so.  He would even help clean up the babies, especially if we had a weak one that had to be brought in and put in front of the heater and tube fed a few times to get it started.  Dwight would lay by it and help keep it warm and clean it up.  He was one in a million and greatly missed.  I don't know if Rio will ever be that good with them, but I am glad that he is gentle with them, it takes a special dog to nurture baby lambs.
